Installation

Installing Lumy takes about two minutes. Here is how.

1. Get the installer

Download the Lumy installer from the official USRO website (see the Home Page link in Settings, or the download page on usro.net).

The file is named something like LumyDesktopSetup.exe.

2. Run the installer

Double-click the installer file. Windows may show a blue security prompt asking for permission — click Yes to continue.

The installer is safe. It comes from the official USRO site and is signed by the publisher.

The installer will:

  1. Check whether Lumy is already installed (if it is, it upgrades it)
  2. Copy Lumy to your local app folder
  3. Create shortcuts in the Start Menu and on your Desktop
  4. Launch Lumy automatically when it finishes

You do not need to be an administrator to install Lumy. It installs for your user account only.

3. First launch

When Lumy opens, you will see the System Overview dashboard. Take a look around:

  • Your CPU and memory usage at a glance
  • Your drives with a colored ring showing how full each one is
  • Cards for Recycle Bin, Windows Temp, and other cleanup options

That's it — Lumy is installed and ready.

4. Next steps

Updating Lumy

Lumy checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available:

  1. Open Settings (the gear icon in the sidebar).
  2. Click Check for Updates.
  3. Follow the prompts to download and install the update.

Your data — history, indexes, and settings — is kept when you update. Upgrading Lumy never deletes your files or your history.

Uninstalling Lumy

To remove Lumy from your PC:

  1. Open Settings → Apps in Windows (or search "Apps & features").
  2. Find LumyDesktop in the list.
  3. Click it, then click Uninstall.

Uninstalling removes Lumy and its stored history. Your actual files on disk are never touched.
