Getting started
Welcome! This section takes you from zero to using Lumy with your own AI assistant.
What you will need
- A Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer (x64 or arm64)
- About 500 MB of free disk space
- Optional but recommended: an AI model to talk to — see AI setup
A quick tour
Lumy opens with six sections in the left sidebar:
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| System Overview | A snapshot of your PC's health: CPU, memory, drives, temp files, and one-click cleanups |
| File Organizer | A file browser with the AI assistant chat panel on the right |
| History & Restore | A log of every AI action — undo anything here |
| Indexing | Scans your drives so Lumy can search them instantly |
| Disk Usage | A visual map of what is using your disk space |
| Settings | Language, theme, AI provider, and app preferences |
In this section
- Installation — download, install, and launch Lumy
- AI setup — connect a local or cloud AI model
You do not need to set up an AI model to browse files or see disk usage. The AI assistant is only needed for chat and file tasks.
