Getting Started
WinSysClean is a portable-style Windows application: install it, run it, choose what to clean, and let it work. This page walks you through your first session.
Installation
- Run the WinSysClean setup program and follow the installer steps.
- WinSysClean needs administrator rights to clean system folders and the registry. The app asks for elevation when it starts.
- After installation, launch WinSysClean from the Start Menu or desktop icon.
If you downloaded the installer from a website other than the official WinSysClean page, verify the file before running it. Only trust official sources.
The main window
The main window is a navigation panel with all the tools on the left:
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Main | Dashboard with your last clean result, disk space, and system gauges |
| Windows Cleaning Options | Cleaning switches for Windows items |
| Applications Cleaning Options | Choose which installed apps to clean |
| Internet Browsers Cleaning Options | Cleaning switches for browser data |

| System Restore Points | Create and manage restore points |
| USB Fix | Repair USB device detection and remove USB traces |
| Monitors | CPU, Memory, and Disk usage graphs |
| Desktop Tuning | Shortcuts and display tweaks |

Your first clean
-
Open Windows Cleaning Options and check what you want to clean. The safe defaults are already sensible for most users.
-
Open Registry Repair Options and review the repair switches.
-
Click the Start button (or the toolbar Start icon) to begin.
-
Wait while WinSysClean scans. When the scan finishes, a Scan Report shows what was found.
-
Review the report, uncheck anything you want to keep, then click Start Clean.
Before your first clean, create a restore point. It lets you undo everything if anything behaves oddly afterward.
Set Default / Safe Settings
The Default Settings menu command resets all cleaning options to the safe factory defaults. Use it whenever you are unsure which switches should stay on.
What happens after a clean
When cleaning finishes, WinSysClean shows a summary. The totals in the report may differ slightly from the progress screen because unsafe items are always skipped and never counted as removable.
Next steps
- Learn what each cleaning switch does before changing it.
- Explore the dashboard.
- Set up automatic cleaning if you clean often.
